The Network Camera (NC) is a complete stand-alone computer with a camera and network interface, and digitizes and sends live videos directly over the IP network - LAN, Intranet or the Internet.
There is no segment where video is transmitted as analog signal, unlike CCTV or DVR, so the users can implement 100% pure digital surveillance systems from origin. And pure digital networking gives versatile advantages such as superior video quality, flexibility and cost-efficiency.
It also enables users to view and/or manage the cameras using a standard Web browser or other software on any local or remote computers on a network. It allows authorized viewers from different locations to simultaneously access images from the one network camera.
The Network Camera is the way distinguishing from legacy analog cameras by its versatile built-in functionalities. It can perform its surveillance job even when it's disconnected from the center; providing event management, local buffering, and intelligent video analytics.
